It has been one year since the passing of Brenda Gordon, our Operations Manager, and she remains very much in our thoughts.
Brenda joined TASS in 2015, beginning her career on the warehouse floor. From the outset, she distinguished herself through her work ethic, her humility, and the genuine care she showed to those around her. Over the following years, she progressed steadily through the company, taking on greater responsibility at every stage, until she was appointed Operations Manager. Her rise was never a matter of ambition for its own sake — it came from the trust she earned, day by day, from colleagues at every level of the business.
As Operations Manager, Brenda brought both discipline and warmth to her role. She had a rare ability to hold high standards while still making people feel supported and valued. Under pressure, she was calm and clear-headed; in quieter moments, she was generous with her time and her encouragement. Many will remember her steady reassurance — “we can do it” — offered whenever a challenge seemed too large, and delivered with enough conviction that it usually was true.
Brenda’s influence on TASS cannot be measured only in the processes she improved or the targets she helped the business meet. It is felt just as strongly in the culture she helped shape: one of resilience, mutual respect, and genuine care for colleagues as people, not just employees. She treated everyone with fairness and attention, regardless of role or seniority, and that example continues to guide how we work together today.
A year on, her absence is still deeply felt across the business. She was, and remains, an important part of the story of TASS.
Thank you, Brenda, for your years of dedication, your leadership, and the example you set for all of us. You are greatly missed, and you will not be forgotten.
